London this June. You can find some incredible live music events in this city, so check out the options below and book your tickets now. Make sure that you also have your accommodation sorted by booking your London holiday apartments or hotels now!
If you want to enjoy some great music in royal surroundings, you must check out the Hampton Court Palace Festival, held on the 7th – 24th June. Artists such as Will Young, Van Morrison, Michael Ball and Jamie Morrison will take to the stage, which will be set in the palace’s gorgeous and historic grounds. This stunning Tudor palace has an atmospheric courtyard and makes for a beautiful venue to enjoy live music, especially in the balmy summer evenings.
The South Bank is also one of London’s most vibrant and lively areas in the sun, and is playing host to a summer-long festival of music and comedy called the Underbelly Festival. This is a great day out for the whole family, with entertainment such as cabaret acts, circus and comedy shows. You can also enjoy an assortment of delicious street food.
For those who like a slightly more alternative style of music, the Field Day festival in London is not to be missed. A one day festival in Victoria Park, the lineup this year includes Aphex Twin, Run The Jewels, Arab Strap, and Death Grips among others. The organisers have advised that parking is difficult in this area so public transport is advised, or better yet book a nearby London hotel or holiday apartment.
If you’re coming to London, no doubt you’ll be keen to check out one of the world famous West End shows. From 24th – 25th June, you can catch the West End Live event which will be held at the Trafalgar Square. Some of the players from the West End’s leading musicals will take to the stage to perform some of their most iconic songs. The lineup for this year will be announced closer to the time. And the best part? This event is completely free to attend. Make sure you get there early to secure a space.
Part of the Royal Greenwich Festivals, the annual Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, being held from the 23rd June till the 8th July, is a great day out for the whole family. One of London’s largest free outdoor festivals, you can experience open-air theatre, dance, art installations and music. There is a very extensive programme, and the festival takes place across Royal Greenwich, Docklands and Tower Hamlets.
