Washington, DC is known for its international influences and… brunch. With so many countries and cultures represented in the area, there are plenty of unique places to experience an international brunch in Washington, DC, and surrounding areas. You may associate brunch with eggs and bacon, but these offerings take you on a trip around the world.
Punjab Grill: A Luxury Indian Brunch
The selection of Indian restaurants has grown exponentially, and I am here for it! One of the most buzzed-about places is the stunning Punjab Grill located in downtown DC. This restaurant is all about the details-not only with the decadent décor but also with the menu. Their menu offerings include classics with Indian twist such as a Punjabi Benedict: pulled jackfruit or leg of lamb, poached egg, and Patiala hollandaise.

Zaytinya
Take a trip to the Mediterranean with the flavors of Zaytinya. If fluffy pita bread dipped in creamy dips like hummus and Baba Ganoush is your thing, I highly recommend Zaytinya for your international brunch in Washington, DC. I also highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a variety of vegetarian options. Supra
Go on a foodie journey to Georgia (the country that is) at Supra. Their brunch merges Georgian classics with a traditional brunch menu. Start your brunch with a Supra tasting board for the table with a sampler of Georgian dips and cheeses. A must try dish is their Khabizgina Breakfast Khachapuri: Potato and cheese filled khachapuri with smoked sulguni cheese, two fried eggs, grilled onions, fresh herbs, and green ajika. Had a late night the night prior? Order a hearty sandwich filled with delicious fillings like roasted lamb or wild mushrooms. Pair your brunch with a glass of Georgian wine from their extensive list.

Pisco y Nazca
If you love Peruvian food as much as I do, you will love Pisco y Nazca. Not only do they offer the Peruvian classics such as ceviche and causas rellenas, but they also have some unique takes on brunch. Try a Cholo Benedictino, a Peruvian version of the eggs Benedict with sweet plantain cakes, pork belly chicharron, and queso fresco. Wash it down with bottomless mimosas for $18.

Tiger Fork
Disclaimer: Tiger Fork is one of my favorite places in Washington, DC. The food, the vibes, and the superb service take it to the top of my list when people ask me about places to eat in the city. Tiger Fork brings that same energy to their brunch menu with yummy items such as dim sum, noodles, and a congee cart. The congee cart is not only ridiculously cute but also very affordable at $10 with toppings ranging from $4-$5. Since weekends are cheat days, finish your brunch with their popular Hong Kong-style bubble waffles.
